ALICO Bulgaria was nominated among the three best Companies in Bulgaria for 2008 in the category “Training and development” by Bulgarian Human Resource Management and Development Association.
Nomination is granted for the implementation of Cornerstone 1 training scheme.
The scheme is designed by the CPE (Center for Professional Education), a special body within ALICO that works on the establishment of a standardized skill and knowledge-based educational system for all ALICO employees.
Cornerstone 1 is part of a wider training scheme that comprises also programmes and courses related to general business skills and management skills. Cornerstone 1 consists of training courses covering areas related to Company’s culture, role effectiveness, customer service, corporate communication, business acumen etc.

The nomination states:

“… The training programme is consistent with the strategy of the Company and insurance market requirement to a high extent. From communication point of view, the General manager of the Company is involved in the project from the very beginning and part of the management team serves also in a facilitating role. The programme itself consists in a number of interactive modules avoiding any disturbance of working schedules – something that received extreme positive feedback from training participants. There is individual follow up of training activities results as well as individual follow up of development of everyone successfully completed the training.  Training implementation displays impressive results in terms of cost effectiveness.”
